Respiratory Care - Therapy
The
full-scope Respiratory Care Department provides diagnostic
and/or therapeutic procedures to inpatients, transitional
care patients, and outpatients of all ages, upon a physicians
order and/or various protocols. Services to the Neonatal
Care Unit and Perinatal Transport are also provided.
The Respiratory Therapist team at Magic Valley
Regional Medical Center strives to maintain a professional and
friendly attitude toward the customers and co-workers, working
together to deliver a knowledgeable and competent service to the
patients, hospital and community. Our goal is outstanding and
progressive patient care.
The core of our department at Magic Valley Regional
Medical Center has been together many years and has obvious firm
history of sticking together through the best and worst of times. We
seek individuals who are strong advocates of Respiratory Therapy,
genuinely concerned for patients, communicate well and want to be a
long-term member of our Respiratory Therapy team, hospital and
community. Individuals who will ensure high quality in evaluating,
treating and caring for patients with breathing disorders.
 The Respiratory Care Department provides diagnostic
and/or therapeutic procedures to inpatients, transitional care
patients and outpatients of all age groups upon a physicians order. Respiratory
Care practitioners provide 24-hour availability of services that
include, but are not limited to, mechanical ventilation, intubation,
neonatal and perinatal transport services, full services in our Level
II NICU, student preceptorships, CPAP/BIPAP, IPPB, O2 administration,
aerosol and medication inhalation therapy, measurement of ventilatory
mechanics, bedside PFT's, pulse oximetry and transutaneous monitoring,
ETCO2 and peak flow measurements, CPT and "Theravest"
therapy. EKGs, nasal washing, arterial blood gas sampling and
interpretation. Multidisciplinary coordination of patient care
services will occur between departments via actual communication of
caregivers.
We also offer state-of-the-art body box pulmonary function
studies are developing other fine outpatient services.
