A hospice room at SLMVRMC provides a comfortable atmosphere,
when the patient cannot be cared for at home. Hospice care focuses
on symptom-control of an individual's terminal illness. It also
allows the family to have a brief interval of rest in caring
for their loved one. Spiritual and bereavement support are also
provided.
Home Hospice Services
Home hospice is a special
program that cares for and supports terminally ill people and
their families in the comfort of the patient’s home. Care
and attention is given to symptom-control for the patient, and
emotional support and respite for the family.
