CHILDREN'S HEALTH SERVICES
 Pediatric
Care
Young patients receive extra special care in the
family-friendly environment of our Pediatric Unit. Pediatric
care for most levels and ranges of childhood illness and trauma
takes place in our 21-bed Women’s & Children’s
Unit, which is staffed by specially trained nurses and board
certified pediatricians.
Magic
Valley SAFE KIDS Coalition
SAFE KIDS offers certified child passenger safety
seat instruction, car seat and booster seats (including a loaner
program for car seats and special needs car seats), bike and
multi-sport protective helmets and gear, smoke detectors, gun
locks, and a free library of safety videos and educational materials.
SAFE KIDS serves as a community resource for injury prevention
in the Magic Valley.
CARES
CARES (Children At Risk Evaluation Services) provides evaluation
services to suspected victims of child abuse. The program coordinates
the efforts of local law enforcement, child protection, prosecution,
and counselors. Medical examinations and interviews are conducted
by specially trained professionals, reducing the need for repeated
interviews of already traumatized children.
