PATHWAYS TO
GIVING
Designated Gifts
Your gift can be designated to support a
specific area. An example such a gift is the Joyce E. and Gordon O. Glasmann Endowment
Fund, which supports prostate cancer education programs and equipment purchases for the
Southern Idaho Regional Cancer Center. For details, send email to Larry Baxter, Executive Director of
the MVRMC Foundation or call (208) 737-2480.
Commemoration
A donor may give a gift in his or her name or
memorialize another person through their gift to the Foundation. For details, send email to Larry Baxter, Executive Director of
the MVRMC Foundation or call (208) 737-2480.
Recognition
All gifts, no matter the size, deserve
appropriate recognition. Each gift is recognized in writing and in the Foundation's Annual
Report. Additional forms of recognition may involve permanent plaques and press releases.
For details, send email to Larry Baxter,
Executive Director of the MVRMC Foundation or call (208) 737-2480.
Giving Options
A gift may be made with a minimum of legal
complexity. As a donor, you may simply pass a gift of stocks, bonds, real estate, or cash
to the Foundation with a letter stating the nature of the contribution. Deferred giving
plans such as charitable trusts or gifts made through bequests in wills can be a lasting
tribute to someone you love. For details, send
email to Larry Baxter, Executive Director of the MVRMC Foundation or call (208)
737-2480.
Wall of Honor
The "Wall of Honor" is a visual
expression of the love and caring of those who have been touched by cancer, either
personally or through their loved ones. Located in the main corridor of the medical center
and adjacent to the Southern Idaho Regional Cancer Center's waiting room, the Wall of
Honor is artistically done in brass and dark mahogany. For details, send email to Larry Baxter, Executive Director of
the MVRMC Foundation or call (208) 737-2480.
St. Lukes
Mountain States Memorial Wall
A memorial or honorary gift may be
acknowledged by an engraved plaque which would be displayed on the Cancer Center's
Memorial Wall. This permanent gift would express the donor's love through a lasting legacy
for a loved one. For details, send email to Larry
Baxter, Executive Director of the MVRMC Foundation or call (208) 737-2480.
McKain Kinney Remembrance Rose Garden
In July 2000, the Foundation
dedicated a beautiful Rose Garden in remembrance of all the people who have worked at or
been cared for at MVRMC. The garden cultivates a feeling that is both contemporary and
traditional in nature. Planted with 160 rose bushes more than 40 different
varieties the area includes arbors, walkways, seating areas, and statuary. A water
fountain is the focal point in the garden. As a tranquil retreat within the hospital
campus and for the City of Twin Falls, the garden is intended for hospital patients,
employees, doctors, and visitors to enjoy quiet, reflective moments. Underwritten by
donations from hundreds of individuals, as well as a major donation from the McKain-Kinney
family, the garden will continue to grow and blossom for years to come. For details, send email to Larry Baxter,
Director of the MVRMC Foundation, or call (208) 737-2480.
